Excimer Laser |
Allegretto Wave Excimer Laser.
Using the Allegretto Wave Excimer Laser, Wavelight provides the newest technology in a small footprint design. Fewer optical surfaces and reduced gas consumption mean lower cost per procedure, which was the primary design goal for this office based refractive laser.
Small Scanning Spot
The high-speed scanning mechanism incorporated into the Allegretto Wave Excimer Laser allows the laser to deliver 200 laser pulses per second and to achieve even distribution of the laser energy over the treatment zone on the cornea.
Gaussian Beam Profile
The placement of partially overlapping Gaussian pulses by the Allegretto Wave Excimer Laser results in a smooth surface without ridges and grooves, which detract from visual acuity after surgery.
